Empty Carbon Blank 6"

This super strong and lightweight carbon fiber blank is ideal for Apex format stones. Its key advantage is the possibility to install a finishing material (leather, wood, copper, cast iron) which further reduces the polishing pressure to achieve an ultra-fine finish. The carbon fiber blank gives the stones stiffness and longer life. The blanks have a standard 45-degree bevel and are made of high quality 3mm thick carbon fiber.

The blank is also compatible with diamond and CBN stones. Without fear of damaging the blank, you can dip it together with the stone in a chlorine solution and open the diamond or CBN stone.  (This was impossible on aluminum blanks, the bleach would just damage the blank)
