Material
Top Grain Leather is the outermost area of the hide where the hair was is sanded during the processing phase to get rid of imperfections. Strops made of top grain leather have uniform and flat surface.
Use
Top grain strops are universal and work with any compound, including solid pastes. Mounted on a high-quality aluminum blank with 45° bevels and painted finish.
How to use
Gently slide the cutting edge over the strop, repeating 20–30 times for each side of the blade.
The motion should avoid damaging the strop with the cutting edge.

It provides a really good finishing touch to the sharpening process. I use Luxor compounds myself, and overall, I’ve had a great experience with this product. The glued-on leather is even and relatively firm. A high-quality product.

This leather strop is a great option for a reasonable price. Use with the Stroppy STUFF diamond suspension available from the same web. Great seller and good products, with a wide range of options. A good choice to visit before buying someplace else.

High-quality leather strop that removes the residue left by sharpening with whetstones and also polishes the knife's edge. The advantage of this leather strop, mounted on aluminum, is that I can maintain the exact same angle for the finishing stones. Be careful with the movement though, because the edge is so sharp that you can very easily cut the surface of the leather.

These are high-quality strops, nice and thick, and will allow you to recondition them on sandpaper over and over again. If you're a meticulous person, do this before using them for the first time to make them perfectly flat.
