Aluminum Oxide stones set

Aluminum Oxide Sharpening Stones are used for sharpening knives using Hapstone knife sharpeners. The stones are made of aluminum oxide and are designed for soft or medium steels (up to 59 HRC). 

The set of 5 stones: 120, 240, 600, 1000 and 2500 grit (JIS).  All stones are 6 mm thick and mounted on high-quality aluminum blanks with laser engraving

It is advisable to use aluminum oxide stones for sharpening knives made of soft stainless steel: 1095, 1080, 1070, 1050, 420, 440A, 440B, 3Cr13, 8Cr13MoV, 8Cr14MoV, 9Cr14MoV, AUS-4, AUS-6. Using aluminum oxide stones to sharpen knives made of hard steel is not recommended because of low performance.

Hapstone Aluminum Oxide Stones are preliminarily lapped and does not require lapping after purchase.

Hasptone Aluminum Oxide Stones are recommended to be used with water as lubricant. Soak the stone for 1-2 minutes and splash water on the stone's surface to prevent drying.

• Much longer life span for the stone after multiple flattening and lapping;
