    Boride CS-HD Sharpening Stone

    Silicon carbide sharpening stone for hard stainless and carbon steels from 47 to 63 HRC.

    Abrasive

    Silicon carbide

    CS-HD stones are made from silicon carbide and are intended for sharpening knives made from hard steels. It is not recommended to use excessive force or pressure during sharpening or finishing.

    Steel range

    For hard steels

    The series is designed for solid stainless and carbon steels with hardness from 47 to 63 HRC. Using this series on soft steels may increase stone wear and cause faster loading of the abrasive surface.

    Use

    Dry or with water

    The stones can be used dry or with ordinary water. A little soap can also be added during sharpening.

    Care

    Simple cleaning and maintenance

    The stone does not require special care. It can be cleaned under running water with a stiff soapy brush, such as a toothbrush.

    Flattening can be performed on silicon carbide after surface wear develops.

    Production notes

    Minor visual marks may be present

    Boride stones may have minor production marks, including saw traces on the working surface and small chips at corners or edges no larger than 1 mm.

    C'est la première fois que j'ai commandé ces 2 pierres Boride CS-HD sur le site Hapstone pour voir leur qualité. Superbe, rien à dire ! Je les ai testées sur mes couteaux japonais...impeccable ! Du coup, j'envisage de passer commande très prochainement pour les pierres plus haut de gamme en diamants en CBN, celles en vitrifiées...

    C'est une bonne pierre, un grain efficace. Je l'utilise après un grain 220 et avant un grain 1000. Je l'utilise avec de l'huile de tournesol. Très satisfait du résultat.
