Cleaning and dressing of sharpening stones
Purpose
Boride Dressing Stone is an indispensable tool for keeping your sharpening stones in perfect condition. This aluminium oxide bar with soft A2 bond and F220 grit effectively cleans and smooths the surface of synthetic, diamond and CBN stones.
Advantages
Suitable for a wide range of sharpening stones. Cleans and smooths the surface quickly and easily. Soft bonding does not damage the surface of the sharpening stone.
Application
Moisten Boride Dressing Stone with water.
Using light pressure, run the stone over the surface of the sharpening stone several times.
Rinse off any remaining abrasive and wipe the stone with a clean cloth.
For best results, use Boride Dressing Stone regularly, especially after sharpening hard steels or if there are irregularities on the surface of the stone.

Got this to be able to dress my stones and it works like a charm. Soak it in water for a minute or two or better yet, use it under running water, that way you get any sludge away from the stone.

I use this stone to clean the Metalic CBN stones after each sharpening. The stones are cleaned quickly and very well, and at the same time they are maintained as they should be. The stone is soaked in water for about a minute, and then the sharpening stone is rubbed with light pressure. In the end, the stones are like new. Good job Hapstone.
