Preparation
When using water, soak the stone for 1–2 minutes.
When using oil, apply 1–2 drops and spread evenly over the surface. If the stone absorbs the oil, use a larger amount.
Natural production marks
Boride stones may have saw strokes on the working surface, lacquer residues, or small chips at the corners and along the edges no larger than 1 mm.
These marks are usually removed during stone preparation. Additional lapping can be done with loose silicon carbide powder or a diamond lapping plate.
