Stone Holder for Work Sharp Precision Adjust 6" (Gen 2)

The Work Sharp Precision Adjust sharpener is an excellent device, but its capabilities are limited by the use of standard sharpening stones installed on the original holder.

The solution to this limitation is provided by the 6-inch stone holder for the Work Sharp Precision Adjust. Now you can use various 6-inch sharpening stones, including double-sided diamonds like Venev Centaur and Venev Ursa Series, as well as stones with the Edge Pro form factor (with the corresponding attachment).

It is important to note that the 6-inch stone holder does not address the fundamental limitations of the sharpener itself, designed for 4-inch stones. The stone's range of motion will be limited to approximately 4 inches. It is recommended to regularly change the stone orientation to prevent uneven wear. To fully address this issue, an expansion of the range of motion is required, which can be achieved using the KakBritva blade clamp with the GearConnect adapter.

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining a constant sharpening angle is crucial. The angle should not change when transitioning to a new stone, as changes in thickness lead to changes in the sharpening angle. It is recommended to use a digital angle gauge to control the angle when replacing the stone in the holder and, if necessary, use the angle adjustment knob on the sharpener itself.
