Both would make excellent finishers for refreshing a tired edge or a powerful finishing pair when used after a coticule, 5-8k synthetic hone, etc. in a honing progression.
The Green Shadow & Black Shadow hones are both a slate type stone They both come from a private family land in France composed in particular of slate of different grains allowing the harvesting of the entire Shadow range.
Green Shadow - Grain of 8000-10000 grit, dense and hard stone for finishing razors, knives or other tools (gouges, wood chisels)
Black Shadow - Grain of 12000-15000 grit, very dense and hard stone for finishing razors, knives or other tools (gouges, wood chisels)
Both hones can be used with slurry produced with a piece of the same stone, the slurry is best with little water on the stone, too much water will make it slip the end with a suction cup effect (hard stone), a minimum of water is recommended in order to use it perfectly and optimally. A slurry-honed edge will have a hazy finish while the slurry gives faster and more powerful sharpening.
The water-based finish will allow a shiny polishing, the use of Glycerin/oil will allow a more homogeneous finish, it is possible to switch from oil to water-based use provided the stone is well cleaned.
