Natural Japanese sandstone whetstone rated at 2000 JIS for controlled sharpening and refined edge finishing.

Natural stone
Binsui is a natural sandstone closely related to Amakusa, but with a denser structure and generally finer sharpening characteristics.
Grit
This Binsui stone is rated by the manufacturer at 2000 JIS, with the grit clearly marked on both the stone and its packaging.
Sharpening
The metal removal rate can be easily adjusted through pressure, giving you precise control over the sharpening process.
Performance
Binsui works with water and naturally produces an autoslurry during sharpening. It also performs well with additional slurry generated from other stones.
One of its key advantages is resistance to loading and clogging. Metal swarf is easily washed away with water, keeping the working surface clean and effective.
Refinement
The level of edge refinement can be adjusted by changing the amount and type of slurry used during sharpening.
Maintenance
Binsui is simple to maintain, easy to clean with water, and not overly sensitive to storage conditions.
