Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.9 / 5 from 15 reviews.
Vast improvement over stones included with affordable fixed angle sharpening system. Both faster and better consistency. Metal backing also seems to fit better into the holder.
Some things initially went wrong with delivery, because of DPD parcel service messing things up, but Mario at Hapstone responded very quickly to my messages and handled things perfectly. Big compliments to Hapstone customer service!
Edit: the review is mentions the 1000 grit, but the pictures are of the 150 grit. Regardless, the 150, 500 and 1000 grit are all great stones.

We're delighted to hear the Hapstone Start CBN stones have been such a big upgrade for you, Marcel! Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're especially pleased Mario was able to quickly resolve the delivery issue. We truly appreciate your kind words about both the stones and our customer service.
The delivery was excellent. They brought it straight home. I have sharpened one knife, I am satisfied
Store owner replied:
Thanks, Vadim! Glad the delivery went smoothly and that you’re satisfied after your first sharpening!
It cuts into metal really well, unlike the comparable diamond stone from AliExpress, where the diamonds tend to come loose quite easily during use. Quality matters. Sharpening with this stone is fast and efficient. I’ve now bought the whole set, and sharpening is a satisfying process regardless of the item—handling everything from garden tools to 64 HRC knives.
Store owner replied:
That’s impressive versatility, Markku! We’re glad the Start CBN stones deliver the speed and durability you need across everything from garden tools to high-hardness knives. Thanks for choosing the full set!

Store owner replied:
Many thanks, Robertino! Happy to hear you’re pleased with the Hapstone Start CBN.
It does what it says and does it very well. It cuts quickly and sets up the work for all subsequent stones. So far, I've made about ten knives; I'll let you know in the future if the performance remains satisfactory.
